Temirzhan Yerzhanov is the First Prize and Gold Medal winner at the XIth International Robert Schumann Piano Competition in Zwickau, Germany where he represented then unknown Kazakhstan for the first time on an international stage.
In January 2008 he was named by San Francisco Classical Voice as the only instrumental soloist and the Best Performer of 2007 along with San Francisco Opera and soprano Angela Gheorghiu, Mark Morris Dance Group, Artemis Quartet and others.
“The beauty of Temirzhan Yerzhanov’s piano tone, not voluptuous, never cloying, yet luminous and firm, was immediately apparent as was his clarity of texture…the pianism was unfailingly brilliant”, reads a UK oldest classical music magazine Musical Opinion on his London recital in May 2009 at the Wigmore Hall. Recently Con Brio Recordings label released his new CD featuring Cinderella-Suites and world recording premiere of Classical Symphony by Prokofiev.
2010 is the year the world is celebrating the 200th anniversaries of Schumann and Chopin and Temirzhan Yerzhanov will be giving several recitals worldwide.
